❚ Born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, Wilfredo was a kid with a passion for creativity. His desire was to make movies and he spent hours and hours watching and learning the craft of filmmaking. His teachers were Spielberg, Craven, Zeman, and Cronenberg. So enamored he was with this concept, he moved to the US where he pursued a degree in film.
❚ Shortly after completing his college studies, Fredo moved to Boston with film friends in search of opportunities. There, he made short films, including Dynamite Abraham: A Documentary, a mockdoc about a band and music videos such as Thunder by Pyramid Thieves. In these projects, he worked as editor, cinematographer, producer, and gaffer.
❚ Fredo's creative journey greatly expanded after an introductory course on video signals. This experience opened his mind to analog video mixers, visual programming languages, and using web technologies as an art tool. Wilfredo experiments with a mix of digital and analog, focusing on video manipulation and generative art.
❚ Now based in New York, he continues to produce and photograph short films and welcomes collaborative projects with fellow artists.
